Spring is finally here which means golf, barbeques, outdoor activities and…7/1’s right around the corner. So far this year, Marilyn organized a very successful Joint CPCU/RIMS meeting about Active Shooters on April 9th. We also held a great Spring Social at Southern Tier on Wednesday May 1st. Please consider attending our Fall Social this year in September and be on the lookout for an invitation. We will likely hold it at Southern Tier again because it is always well received, but if you have another venue suggestion please let me know.
I had the pleasure of attending the North Central Regional Chapter Leader Meeting in Columbus, Ohio on May 7th and 8th.We discussed numerous important topics like our Key Initiatives, the future of the Society, engaging the next generation, volunteer engagement, and the many resources that we are all provided as members of the CPCU Society.
Please keep in mind that we are looking for Officer Volunteers for 2020. Please reach out to me if you might be interested. As the industry’s premier association for risk management and insurance professionals, the success of the CPCU Society depends upon the dedication and talent of our volunteer leadership. Earning a volunteer or leadership role is a unique opportunity that will allow you to:
- Gain leadership KNOWLEDGE that you can apply to your day-to-day professional responsibilities
- Be EMPOWERED to positively influence the CPCU Society, the industry, and your own career advancement
- ENGAGE and network with Society members and other industry professionals
Our Golf Outing is approaching fast on August 9th at Meadowink Golf Course – this is always a great event so please try to attend!
Don’t hesitate to call, email, or text any of the officers with your suggestions or opinions. We hope to hear from you and see you at the rest of our events and meetings!
